CBSE class 10th were waiting for the next update by CBSE.
CBSE gave a small hint
on the calculation of CBSE class 10th result 2021 that how it will be
calculated. CBSE said that CBSE class 10th result 2021 will be calculated on
the basis of objective criteria. Our Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal
'Nishank' also said that objective criteria is nothing but internal assessment.
Although all the students were confused about objective criteria meaning.
But recently, CBSE has
come with an update containing a full-fledged plan for CBSE class 10th result
2021. Therefore, today in this article, I am going to discuss objective
criteria meaning, objective criteria meaning in Hindi and will share each
detail announced by CBSE on the calculation of CBSE class 10th Result 2021.
Need of Objective Criteria Class 10:-
On 14th April 2021, CBSE
cancelled Class 10 Board Exams and postponed Class 12 Board Exams till the next
update on 1 June due to the second wave of COVID-19 Pandemic. Now the main
question that was raised was that how the CBSE class 10th result 2021 will be calculated.
As board exams were cancelled, students were keen to know that on what basis
CBSE class 10th result will be calculated. Then, it was said that CBSE class
10th Result 2021 will be calculated on the basis of objective criterion.
From then, everyone
wanted to know objective criteria meaning. So let's start our main discussion
i.e. objective criteria meaning.
Objective Criteria Meaning:-
If you want to know
objective criteria meaning in the context of class 10 result, it means that
result will be calculated unbiasedly with 100 % accuracy. It means that result
will be made in such a way that both students and teachers (CBSE) should be
satisfied with the result. It is the main function of the objective
criterion.
Therefore, CBSE class
10th result 2021 will be made with full transparency such that both the
students and CBSE should be satisfied with the result.
Objective Criteria Meaning in Hindi:-
If you simply want to know the objective criteria meaning in Hindi in the context of CBSE class 10th result 2021, then it is -
ऑब्जेक्टिव क्राइटेरिया वह आधार है जिस पर कक्षा 10 का परिणाम 100% पारदर्शिता के साथ बनाया जाएगा ताकि छात्रों और सीबीएसई दोनों को परिणाम के साथ संतुष्ट हों सकें. मतलब सीबीएसई ऐसा रिजल्ट बनाएगा जिस पर कोई भी स्टूडेंट सवाल खड़े न करे सके और वो रिजल्ट से संतुष्ट हो.
लेकिन अगर कोई स्टूडेंट इस रिजल्ट से खुश नही होगा तो उसे पूरा हक़ है कि वो बोर्ड एक्साम्स दे सके जब भी कोरोना कि स्थिति ठीक हो जाये.
What if the students are not satisfied with CBSE Class 10th Result:-
If in any case, students are not satisfied with the result or they feel that they could have get more marks if they had given CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2021, then they can give CBSE Class 10th board exams later when the COVID-19 situation gets better.
Formation of Result Committee:-
The first step that will be taken by CBSE to calculate Class 10th result 2021 will be the formation of an 8 member Result Committee to make CBSE class 10th result 2021 unbiasedly and transparently.
This Result Committee will consist of the Principal of the school, five internal teachers of the school for Mathematics, Science, Social Science and two languages. The last two members in the result committee will be co-opted by external teachers of a neighbouring school.
How the Result will be made on the basis of Objective Criteria:-
As usual, each subject marks were given out of 100 marks. 20 marks of internal assessment and 80 marks of board examination. Internal assessment marks will be given as usual this year but, as board exams were cancelled, it is a question that on which marks will be given in place of board examination's 80 marks.
Therefore, CBSE will give priority to school exams in place of board exams to make the CBSE Class 10th result 2021. These school exams can be Periodic tests, Unit tests, Pre-boards, etc.

As you can see in the above image, how the marks of school exams will be calculated to make CBSE class 10th result 2021. Periodic Test/Unit Test will be given priority of 10 marks.30 marks will be counted of Half Yearly/Mid-term Examinations. Lastly, 40 marks will be given for Pre-board Examinations.
What if the school has conducted more than one tests/exams:-
If in any case, a school has conducted more than one tests/exams within each category, then the Result Committee will decide the marks to be given in each individual category.
For Example, If a school has conducted three Periodic Tests/Exams, then the Result committee will have three options to calculate marks-
- To give the marks of an average of the three Periodic exams/tests taken.
- To give the best marks scored out of three Periodic Exams/tests.
- To give a weightage to each exam as considered suitable to Result Committee.
Other Situations for calculating CBSE Class 10th Result 2021:-
There are another three situations also arising in the way of the Result Committee to make CBSE Class 10th result 2021.
- If the school has not conducted any of the exams in the above category.
- If the student has not appeared for any of the exams in the above category.
- If there is a difference in the mode of conduction i.e. Online/Offline exams in the above category.
In all the three situations above, it would depend on the school or Result Committee to give marks for a particular subject.
Grace Marks by CBSE:-
If a student does not meet the qualifying marks after the calculation of the result, then CBSE will award grace marks to that student. But this would be applicable for small margins only.
For example, if a student has scored 1 or 2 marks less than the qualifying marks, then the grace marks would be awarded to that student.
Compartment Examinations:-
If a student is not able to meet the qualifying marks after being awarded grace marks, then he/she will be placed in the 'Essential Repeat' or 'Compartment' category.
For the students who will give compartment exams, the school will conduct an offline/online objective type compartment examination based on the sample question papers provided by CBSE.

CBSE has given a procedure to the schools to calculate CBSE Class 10th result 2021. Each and every step is planned by CBSE. The last date is given to finalize a particular work.
