Hello guys, welcome to your own blog 'Pareeksha Time'. There is a breaking and the latest news in this blog that I am going to share. In this article, I am going to share a piece of news on cbse class 12 exams.
So let's start...
Overview:-
As you all know, on 14th April 2021, CBSE cancelled class 10 board exams and postponed class 12 board exams due to the second wave of COVID-19.
CBSE also told that it will review the situation on 1 June.
In this context, a meeting on 23 May was conducted under the supervision of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', NTA (National Testing Agency), Senior officers of Ministry of Education, Chief Ministers & Deputy Chief Ministers of many states and UTs and many other officials were also present in that meeting to discuss CBSE class 12 exams and other competitive exams.
Therefore, at the end of the meeting, Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' concluded several points to which most of the states agreed.
I have mentioned those main and important points concluded in that meeting.
Main Highlights on CBSE Class 12 Exams:-
1. Reduction in time duration of exams: It was suggested in the meeting to reduce the time duration of exams from 3 hrs to 1.5 hrs.
2. To conduct CBSE class 12 exams twice: The second point that was suggested in the meeting was to conduct CBSE class 12 exams twice so that if one student is not able to give the exam in the first attempt due to COVID-19 related problems, then he/she can give the exam in the second attempt.
3. To conduct CBSE class 12 exams in my own school: According to my, it was really a good suggestion for the meeting. It was that cbse class 12 exams should be conducted internally i.e. in own schools. This would enable students not to go to another city to give exams.
4. To conduct exams of only 19 main subjects: The fourth point that was suggested was to conduct exams of 19 main subjects instead of conducting all the exams.
5. Choices in Exams: The last suggestion of the meeting was to give choices in exams. Such that student has to give board exams of one language and three elective exams. Marks of the other two exams will be calculated on the basis of previous ones.
All of the above points were discussed in the meeting. Also, 75% of states agreed to the second point mentioned above.
The central government also said that it will clear the confusion of students soon and will release the dates of the CBSE class 12 exams before 1 June 2021.
